Guatemala currently has nearly 500,000 orphans. This population continues to grow as international adoptions from Guatemala have stopped since 2007. This has created a situation of overcrowded orphanages, poor living conditions and in many cases abandonment in areas such as the city streets, the Dump and the Ghetto.
As orphanages struggle to manage through this growing problem, our mission is to walk alongside them, to help equip them with basic necessities for the well-being of the kids. We have partnered with a few orphanages in Guatemala including Hogar Madre Anna Viliello, a home dedicated to the care of kids with HIV as well as Mama Carmen’s, a home in the heart of Guatemala City.
